This Festival Fringe, St James Quarter is bringing a diverse programme of emerging music talent and street performances straight to the heart of Scotland’s capital with ‘St James Quarter Sessions’.

Taking place throughout August, The Quarter will provide a unique addition to this year’s Fringe programme. Inviting music lovers to a month-long festival held in the lifestyle district of Edinburgh, guests attending St James Quarter Sessions can sit back, under cover and enjoy music from the comfort of their very own deck chair on the Galleria without a muddy field in sight.

Scotland officially welcomes the 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships with thrilling opening ceremony
In celebration of the biggest cycling event in history, organisers of the 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships will officially kick off the highly anticipated mega-event with an action-packed Opening Ceremony, taking place at Glasgow’s George Square on Wednesday 2 August from 5.00pm (GMT) The Opening Ceremony features performances by Scottish artists and citizens, with a mixture of professional and community-based organisations. There is an exciting line-up of activities, personalities, dance, spoken word and a headline performance by multi-award-winning Scottish singer KT Tunstall.

These are the first CGI images of the highly anticipated AC by Marriott Glasgow hotel set to open in the city centre in October. The 245-room hotel – on the edge of Glasgow’s iconic George Square and a key element of the exciting £100 million Love Loan development – is inspired by the city’s history and architecture and includes the impressive revitalisation of the 120 year-old A-listed former city Parish Halls into 22 stunning ‘heritage’ suites with sensitively restored period features.

The engagement and access that The Power of Events (UK) has across all 7 sectors of the industry, enables data gathering and in-depth research projects to be delivered confidently and consistently. This will be primarily facilitated through the new insight app to be launched on 28th Sep 2023.

By bringing the industry and university partners together, research projects will be designed to deliver real benefits to the industry in terms of trend analysis, insights and performance improvements.
