With over 10 years’ experience in the hospitality sector and an impressive track record working in luxury lifestyle properties, Mafalda brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her new role and will lead all operational departments of the hotel.

First images of stunning 245-room AC by Marriott Glasgow hotel set to bring one of city’s historic buildings back to life
These are the first CGI images of the highly anticipated AC by Marriott Glasgow hotel set to open in the city centre in October. The 245-room hotel – on the edge of Glasgow’s iconic George Square and a key element of the exciting £100 million Love Loan development – is inspired by the city’s history and architecture and includes the impressive revitalisation of the 120 year-old A-listed former city Parish Halls into 22 stunning ‘heritage’ suites with sensitively restored period features.
Festival Merch Shouldn’t Cost the Earth
Chris Houghton, CEO of The UK Festival Awards’ Official Merch partner, Teemill, explains how their sustainable model for branded apparel radically reduces waste and gives customers exactly what they want. Across the board, consumers are seeking sustainable options. When you consider the stats on pollution in the textile industry and waste in the festival industry, that’s a tricky demand to meet. 10% of worldwide CO2 comes from clothing, 60% of clothes include plastic, and a truckload of clothing is burned or buried every second. Then, when we look at the waste produced by UK festivals alone, it’s close to 24k tonnes a year.
